Road network is one of the most important sub-components for development and growth of a town within developing and developed areas. The NH-60 being the main regional road passes through the heart of town from southeast to northwest direction. Two major arterial roads, Bolpur Rajgram Road and Bahadurpur Bypass Road meet at NH-60 road .There are very few arterial roads major roads and minor roads to cater for movement of traffic within the municipality. Nalhati Main road being the nerve of the town, most of the major administrative, commercial, business buildings are located on both sides of this arterial road creating congestion and bottleneck of traffic during most of the time. However, Nalhati Municipality has planned a range of proposals including construction of ring road, rickshaw stand, bus terminus etc.
